A functional, reportable newsletter sign-up for Microsoft’s CSP Insider

We built a targeted newsletter for a growing audience from the ground up—overcoming constraints on capturing subscriber data, surfacing engagement insights, and enabling smarter decisions. The result: a seamless, compliant sign-up experience and a dynamic reporting dashboard that turned audience behavior into action.

Building a from the ground up

The Microsoft Partner Marketing team was ready to reach out to a new audience, Microsoft Cloud Service Providers (CSP), and build a newsletter engine from scratch. Behind the scenes, there were major blockers. Out-of-the-box systems couldn’t support the data capture they desired, onboarding to required platforms was complex, and no one internally knew how to pull it all together.

And when it comes to enterprise audiences, web presence is expected to be a thing of beauty: slick, modern, well-designed. The team at Inviso was up for the challenge and ready to bring their key design skills to the table with years of experience in web design.

Help charting a clear course

The Inviso team knew that in addition to visual design, the sign-up page would require a generous helping of systems thinking on their part. They need a robust technical infrastructure to serve user needs, maintain compliance, and hold up under the strain of high-flow traffic. We’d need to address the underlying:

  • Data architecture and systems integrations
  • Compliance requirements
  • Operations and functionality
  • UX continuity

No small feat, but with the Inviso Marketing team’s combination of creative expertise and development know-how: we were up for the challenge.

Beyond first impressions

The sign-up page is a gateway to Microsoft’s most important partner communications around AI and modern work tools for partners in the CSP ecosystem, Microsoft’s primary go-to-market channel for small and medium businesses. Now that the team had interested leads, it was time to deliver communications.

The Inviso team worked to build a newsletter template the reflected the same modern look and feel as the sign-up page for a connected, cohesive partner experience. And again working behind the scenes, connected the data systems and email deployment engines to compliantly deploy the newsletter.

The AI @ Work CSP Insider newsletter launched in February, 2025, serving as a specialized communication channel for partners. The newsletter provides product news, program updates and insights for CSP partners.

No stopping us now

Getting partners signed up and delivering messages to those partners is a great start. The team didn’t stop there, though. They wanted to go even further to ensure they were communicating the relevant messages for their audience.

The Inviso team was ready once again to help out. Utilizing the backend data systems already in place, we built a user-friendly dashboard showcasing the latest metrics. By combining disparate data systems, the team can easily see the latest audience size by role, which roles are interested in which stories, and what geos sign ups are coming from.

Inviso guided the client from zero to launch. What started as a blank slate is now a high-performing channel backed by real-time insights. The total front-and-backend build includes several key benefits:

Total system integration

connecting disparate Microsoft systems that are typically siloed, creating a responsive web page that aligns user’s selections to the required opt-in statements

Streamlined UX

with a simple signup experience, optimized for mobile, with content targeted to the specific CSP partner audience

Scale-ready operations

including automated alerts for proactive monitoring, user experience, and data storage to speed up the process and eliminate compliance risks

True digital ecosystem

including a newsletter design to connect content and deployment efforts, as well as the creation of a robust reporting dashboard

Right where we want to be

For the Microsoft Partner Marketing team, the results are clear: this single, cohesive solution now serves Microsoft’s most important go-to-market channel with the ease-of-use and speed to value they’ve come to expect from all things Microsoft.

As for the Inviso team, we loved going deep into full-stack digital transformation work. The combination of data architecture, UX design, compliance automation and operational excellence—all in a beautifully redesigned landing page and newsletter—really got our creative AND systems juices flowing.
